Getting started
Lifeboard works on the web (app.lifeboard.ca) and as a mobile app, using the same account. Sign up with your email, and your workspace — with your seven life areas — is created automatically. Add tasks, habits, and projects, then run your Weekly Review to close out the week and plan the next one.
Account & sign-in
How do I reset my password?
On the sign-in screen, tap “Forgot password?” and enter your email. We’ll send a reset link — open it and choose a new password, then sign back in. If it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder.
How do I change my display name?
Go to Settings → Your name, update it, and tap Save.
Does it sync across my devices?
Yes. Sign in with the same email on the web and the app — your data stays in sync automatically.
Free vs. Premium
What’s included for free?
The full weekly loop — all seven life areas, unlimited weekly reviews, the current-week Life Balance snapshot, cross-device sync, and reminders — plus up to 3 active habits, 2 active projects, and your most recent 4 weeks of history.
What does Premium add?
Unlimited habits and projects, your full history and review archive, and Life Balance trends over time (week-over-week, month-over-month, and year-in-review).
Is there a free trial?
Yes — new accounts get 14 days of full Premium, no credit card required. When the trial ends, your account simply moves to the free tier (nothing is deleted).
Billing & subscriptions
How much is Premium?
On the web, Premium is $9.99/month or $69.99/year. In the mobile apps, the price is shown at checkout (in-app prices may differ slightly to account for app-store fees).
How do I cancel?
- Web (Stripe): Settings → Manage subscription.
- iPhone/iPad: your App Store account → Subscriptions → Lifeboard.
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Lifeboard.
Your Premium features stay active until the end of the current billing period.
I subscribed on my phone but don’t see Premium on a new device.
Open the paywall and tap Restore Purchases (mobile), or just reopen the app — entitlement syncs to your account.
Do you offer refunds?
Except where required by law or by the App Store / Google Play policies, payments are non-refundable. See our Terms of Use.
Your data
How do I export my data?
Settings → Your data → Export my data. You’ll get a complete JSON file of everything you’ve created (tasks, habits, projects, events, reviews, and more).
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Your data → Delete my account. This permanently erases your account and all associated data — it’s immediate and can’t be undone, so export first if you want to keep anything.
How is my data handled?
We don’t sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for the full details, or email privacy@lifeboard.ca.
Notifications
How do I turn the weekly reminder on or off?
Settings → Review reminder. When on, you’ll get a gentle nudge on your week-start day to run your weekly review.
Troubleshooting
- My changes aren’t showing on another device — make sure both are signed into the same account and connected to the internet; reopening the app forces a refresh.
- The reset email didn’t arrive — check spam, and confirm you used the email you signed up with.
- A purchase didn’t unlock Premium — tap Restore Purchases on the paywall, or reopen the app after a minute.
